CSA Search & Consulting is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kirk Schulz, a nationally respected leader in higher education, as a Senior Consultant. Dr. Schulz brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience and a distinguished record of service in academia, research, and intercollegiate athletics.
Dr. Schulz is President Emeritus of Washington State University, where he served as President for nine years, following his seven-year tenure as the President of Kansas State University. His earlier roles include Dean of Engineering and Vice President for Research and Economic Development at Mississippi State University, as well as several faculty and administrative positions at Michigan Technological University and the University of North Dakota.
Throughout his career, Dr. Schulz has been a passionate advocate for intercollegiate athletics, serving on the College Football Playoff Board of Managers and the NCAA Division I Board of Directors. His deep understanding of the intersection between academics and athletics will be a valuable asset to CSA’s clients.

A Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), Dr. Schulz holds both undergraduate and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from Virginia Tech.
