Prior to joining CSA, Clark served as the Executive Director of Philanthropy with the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University. In his role with NC State, he led efforts to expand external engagement and philanthropic growth. During his tenure with Poole College of Management, Brian led the college to successfully conclude its campaign efforts, raising $105 million while expanding its donor base, increasing endowed faculty positions, and growing scholarship and fellowship support for students. Prior to working with the College of Management, Brian spent nine years working in athletics fundraising, serving as the Director of Major Gifts with the NC State Student Aid Association (Wolfpack Club). He also held a similar role with the University of South Florida after transitioning into higher education from a career in the private sector.

Prior to transitioning into the corporate world, Clark competed professionally in the National Football League, playing for the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His experience as a student and professional athlete continues to inform his relationship-driven approach to leadership and collaboration as well as his drive for competition and success.

“Brian’s background, professional experience, and personality align perfectly with our needs. Over the past several years, CSA has experienced unprecedented growth, and we’re focused on building upon that success as we continue to strengthen our national reputation as the preeminent search and consulting firm serving higher education and the sports industry.
